On BUSINESS ENVY, trusted tech guru BEN PARR (Mashable, Captivology, Octane AI, Forbes 30 Under 30) and beloved actor GREG GRUNBERG (Heroes, Alias, Felicity, Star Wars) are going to start a great new business venture together.

We actually tried to start a company together a decade ago and failed, so we are desperate to not screw it up. That's why we are first talking with the most successful people in business and Hollywood to glean knowledge from their hard lessons and get their honest advice.

During the course of the show, we will apply the advice we receive on our business. It will also be advice you can use for your own business and life too! Our guests range from incredible founders with multi-million (or billion) dollar exits to celebrities who have started successful businesses to the world’s smartest investors and business leaders.

Ben Parr

President & Co-Founder

Ben Parr is an award-winning entrepreneur, investor, advisor, journalist and author. He is President and Co-Founder of Octane AI, the quiz and zero-party data marketing platform for Shopify brands. He is the co-host of the Business Envy podcast with beloved actor Greg Grunberg.

Ben is the author of the best-selling book "Captivology: The Science of Capturing People's Attention", named a must-have marketing book by Strategy+Business Magazine, Forbes, The New York Post, and more. His book dives into the science and psychology of attention and features interviews and insights from over 50 of the world’s top scientists, psychologist, and business leaders, including Sheryl Sandberg, Steven Soderbergh, David Copperfield, and Super Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto.

Previously, Ben was the Co-Editor and Editor-at-Large of Mashable, where he wrote more than 2,400 articles on technology, media, and startups. He sits on the board of directors at the Leila Janah Foundation. Ben is a member of Forbes 30 Under 30 and an alum of Northwestern University.

Greg Grunberg

Actor / Entrepreneur / Celebrity

Greg Grunberg is best known for his roles on “HEROES”, ‘LOST”, “ALIAS” and “FELICITY” as well as memorable turns in “STAR WARS”, “STAR TREK”, “A STAR IS BORN” and alongside Al Pacino in the Barry Levinson film ‘PATERNO.’ Currently seen on “CASTLE ROCK”

Greg has written several pilots & films and co-wrote the graphic novel series “DREAM JUMPER”. Book 2 is out now.

On the film production side, Grunberg co-wrote, produced and starred in the comedy feature “GROUP SEX” as well as starring and producing the cult hit “BIG ASS SPIDER.” His latest indie films include “MAX RELOAD” & “BURNING DOG” both set for a 2020 release.

Grunberg hosted and produced alongside Kevin Smith the pop-culture talk show “GEEKING OUT” for AMC Networks and currently has podcasts “TALK ABOUT IT”, “CORNER STORIES”, & “AN ACTOR, COMEDIAN & A MUSICIAN WALK INTO A BAR”

Grunberg started the celebrity rock band “BAND FROM TV” (bandfromtv.org) with fellow actors Hugh Laurie, Jesse Spencer, Adrian Pasdar, and Scott Grimes “BAND FROM TV” benefits TalkAbout.org, his foundation to raise awareness for people with Epilepsy as his eldest son has the condition.

In addition to his work in entertainment, Grunberg created YOWZA!!, the mobile coupon solutions startup, which was voted one of the top 100 startups. Grunberg has been voted one of the most interesting actors to follow on Twitter and currently boasts 1.2 million followers.

Nick Marzock (Producer)

SINGER/ SONGWRITER/ MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST/ PRODUCER/ ACTOR Nick Marzock brings soulful grooves to indie rock. Inspired by an eclectic array of genres including blues, alternative, soul, and pop, Nick derives his sound and approach from those influences, while adding his own edgy flavor to the sound. He has performed and recorded alongside some of the hottest acts and iconic figures in music of all time, and is driven by his love and dedication to music on stage and in the studio. He has recorded songs with legendary producer Nile Rodgers, opened for nationally-touring acts such as Sara Bareilles, Andy Grammar, Flo Rida, STYX, and more, and is the music director and multi-instrumentalist for multiple celebrity bands based in Los Angeles.

Nick is an accomplished composer and writer for television and film, having recorded, produced, and engineered features and scores for major productions on FOX, AMC, feature films, and national commercials. As a producer, he has recorded and spearheaded albums for national recording artists, productions of network podcasts, and nationally-televised commercials. In addition to music, Nick is a voiceover actor who has appeared in major motion pictures such as War Dogs, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and voicing commercial campaigns across the country, and has also appeared in major motion pictures and commercials as an on-camera actor. To round out the arts, Nick has developed into an accomplished sketch artist, providing him an artistic outlet to take his mind off of work.

Above all of his abilities, music always takes center stage. He was born to perform and write, as any live audience has seen through the years. Nick combines the passion of rock with the spirit of soul in shows from Los Angeles to New York, back to his hometown of Pittsburgh.
